Gerard (Gerry) Connolly, RN, has been with Catholic Health for seven years and has already made his mark. Although he currently works as a registered nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Good Samaritan University Hospital, Gerry is always willing to help out wherever needed. He has lent a hand on 2 Main, as well as in the Emergency Department, and frequently transports patients for his co-workers.
In addition to being a team player, Gerry is highly focused on patient care and enjoys working in the MICU. “I am grateful for the opportunity to provide comfort to patients and families at some of the worst moments of their lives,” said Gerry. “It is genuinely rewarding to work in situations that require the utmost of my effort, knowledge and experience.”
He truly displays our I-CARE values. “I try to always remember the hardships of my patients and what their families are enduring as a result of their illness. My day is never harder than my patients’.”
Asked if he has any words of wisdom for new health care professionals, Gerry offered, “Keep going, and do your work with care, consideration, compassion and conscientiousness.”
Thank you, Gerry, for living the Catholic Health mission.
