Catholic Health’s St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center® (Roslyn, NY) has earned its 22nd “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization that measures the standard of patient safety in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The hospital has received more ‘A’ grades for safety from Leapfrog than any hospital on Long Island since the safety scores first launched in 2012.

The new grades reflect performance across nearly 3,000 general acute-care hospitals, primarily during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is the 12th consecutive Leapfrog A score for St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center®, reflecting the collaborative spirit and sophisticated skill level of the St. Francis Hospital staff,” said Charles Lucore, MD, President, St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center®. “Our clinical teams maintain a continued focus on patient safety and overall excellence in care, which generates consistent leading results pertaining to patient outcomes. Together, we are raising the bar for the level of care offered to the people of Long Island.”
