Catholic Health has named Michael O’Malley its Senior Vice President and Supply Chain Officer, effective December 2, 2024. In this role, O’Malley will lead Catholic Health’s supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics and distribution.

O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA. “We are thrilled to welcome Michael to our team, where his leadership will help optimize the seamless delivery of essential resources across our system."
O’Malley brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain management to Catholic Health. Most recently, he served as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for the Commonwealth of Virginia, where he was appointed by the Governor to serve as the state’s first CPO. There, he built the foundation for a sustainable, best-in-class procurement organization, which included purchasing services for hospitals and health care facilities within the Commonwealth, managing an overall spend of $11B.
Prior to the Commonwealth of Virginia, O’Malley served as Senior Vice President & Chief Global Procurement Officer for American International Group for four years. He also previously led Verizon’s global supply chain organization over an 18-year period.
