Cardiac Screening for Student Athletes

Cardiac Screenings

St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center (Roslyn, NY) conducts free cardiac screenings for student athletes, grades 9-12, to help diagnose potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions. An electrocardiogram (EKG) and echocardiogram will be performed and results are available immediately.

• Students must bring picture identification and consent and medical history forms completed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Pre-registration prior to appointment.
• Students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Our cardiac screenings have helped thousands of high school students across Long Island. The program was developed by Richard D’Agostino, MD, Catholic Health Co-Chair of Orthopedics and St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery, and Sean Levchuck, MD, St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center Chairman of Pediatric Cardiology.
